Overview

A 32 year old female patient comes in to see you in the pain clinic for her left shoulder pain. It all started a few weeks ago while playing handball. She has pain when lifting her arms to put jackets and coats on. There is tenderness in front of the shoulder and pain when lying on the affected shoulder. There is stiffness in the shoulder. Her sleep is affected due to pain at night times. X-ray of the shoulder hasn’t shown any fracture. She is otherwise fit and well.
